2012/10/29 Nissan recalled 13,900 units of Altima in the United States due to bolting problems

Nissan will recall 13,900 2012 and 2013 Altima sedan in the United States, as the bolts of these models may loosen and fall off, increasing the risk of crashes.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the pre-tightening force of the transverse connecting bolts and the power steering rack bolts of some Nissan Altima models has not reached the prescribed standard range, and may loose or fall off, which may affect the normal running of the vehicle.

The recall involves 13,900 models of the 2012 and 2013 Altima models. The production date will be from May 10 to July 26 this year. Nissan will recall the above models from October 29th.
